Traditionally illustrated using gouache and coloured pencil, Bethany began developing The Story of Moleena’s Adventure in 2023 while getting her BFA at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. In 2025, Bethany attended the Banff Comics and Graphic Novels Residency to continue working on the graphic novel and a few months later she was awarded an Artistic Creation grant from the Canada Council of the Arts to support the writing of the third draft of the script. In July 2026, Bethany completed the first three chapters of the story and debuted a limited edition run of Volume One at VanCAF (which sold out during the festival).
