Bethany Pardoe is a traditional illustrator and creative writer with a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Bethany’s art has been exhibited across Vancouver and the Kootenays and her illustrations and writing have been featured in numerous publications including the latest volume of Discovery published by Cauldron Books and Comics. Between commissions and client work, Bethany spends her free time working on her middle grade graphic novel titled, The Story of Moleena’s Adventure and in October, 2025 she attended the Banff Comics and Graphic Novels Residency to further develop the project. Imbued with elements of nature and personal folklore, Pardoe’s art and narratives are inspired by growing up as an odd duck. Originally from Nelson, BC, she is currently situated on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ Nations (otherwise known as Vancouver, BC).
