Bethany Pardoe is a traditional illustrator and creative writer with a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Originally from Nelson, BC, Bethany’s art has been exhibited across Vancouver and the Kootenays and her illustrations and writing have been featured in publications such as Cauldron Books and Comics’ Discovery and SAD Mag. In between client work and other projects Bethany spends her time developing personal projects such as her ongoing graphic novel titled, The Story of Moleena’s Adventure.
Imbued with elements of nature and personal folklore, Bethany’s work is inspired by all things strange, medieval, and fantastical. Her goal as an artist is to tell stories that reflect the experience of growing up as an odd duck. She is currently situated on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ Nations (otherwise known as Vancouver, BC).
