The Story of Moleena’s Adventure

Moleena is a young, mole-like creature that lives in the Underworld, a place beneath the surface of the Small Earth full of giant bugs, magic, and monsters. When everyone else in Moleena’s isolated village is transformed into monsters, she must embark on a journey to the surface to uncover the muddied history of her village, her family, and the  Small Earth.

The Story of Moleena’s Adventure is a middle-grade graphic novel that I began developing during my third year at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. In March, 2025 it placed within the top 20 entries at Kids Comics Unite Pitchfest; the prologue earned me a place at the 2025 Banff Comics and Graphic Novels Residency; and excerpts from the development were featured in Pages, a student exhibition at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and The Small Earth, a solo window exhibition at Oxygen Art Centre in Nelson, BC. I am currently working on the third draft of the script and illustrating chapter 1. For updates about its progress, check out my Instagram.

Squeak and the Rock of Bravery

Squeak and the Rock of Bravery is my debut picture-book-in-progress about an anxious, young mouse with a big imagination.

Squeak lives in the little house on the top of the hill with her mother, the Brave Knight. She prefers make-believe adventures to real life ones, but if she wants to be independent, she must face her fear of the unknown and learn to ground herself when her thoughts begin to spiral.

A Bugs Life

After hatching from an egg, Bug is ready to go on an adventure with his friend Worm, but he quickly discovers the world is not as he had imagined. If he is to go on, Bug must learn to grow, adapt, and eventually… transform.

This mini-comic completed in the summer of 2025 is part of Discovery Volume 3 published by Cauldron Books and Comics.
